PIKE COUNTY, INDIANA – Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division and Pike County Progress Partners, Inc. executed a Partnership Intermediary Agreement. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane), located in Crane, Indiana is a shore command of the U.S. Navy. NSWC Crane is under the Naval Sea Systems Command headquartered in Washington DC. Their mission is to deliver innovative solutions and readiness to the nation and its warfighter through application of our technical capabilities. Advance all-domain system of systems within the mission areas of Electromagnetic Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, and Strategic Missions. Conduct science and technology, research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, and in-service engineering across the defense life-cycles. Execute other responsibilities as assigned by the Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center.
NSWC Crane is the third largest naval installation in the world, NSWC Crane’s total focus is to support the Warfighter by leveraging its technical capabilities for the rapidly changing combat environment. Anchored by technical expertise, a strong work ethic and total lifecycle leadership, NSWC Crane’s personnel and preeminent facilities set the standard for excellence in acquisition, engineering, and sustainment. NSWC Crane provides comprehensive support for complex military systems spanning design, development, deployment, and sustainment in three focus areas: Electromagnetic Warfare, Strategic Missions, and Expeditionary Warfare.
Pike County Progress Partners, Inc. (PCPP) is a non-profit organization that expands the support of all economic development efforts for the sister organization of Pike County Economic Development Corporation. PCPP is the owner/operator of the Elmer Buchta Technology Center where they foster the entrepreneurial spirit and assist start-up businesses from ideation to prototype. This partnership aligns support for our organizations to lean on one another to build a brighter future! Executive Director, Ashley Willis stated, “Pike County is proud to partner with NSWC Crane!
