Miles of Connections to Move Goods and People
Interstate
Pike County is located in the heart of the newly extended I-69 Interstate, linking Evansville and Indianapolis and a key component to the future economic vitality of southwestern Indiana, and will connect an entire region with improved access to jobs, education and healthcare. Access to the Southwest Indiana Megasite is less than 1/2 mile from the I-69 interchange and quick access to I-64. Pike County and the Southwest Indiana Megasite also offer direct access to three state highways: Indiana 56, 57 and 61.
Water
Pike County is close to two Ohio River ports – the Port of Mount Vernon and Port of Jeffersonville, connecting your business to the Ohio-Mississippi River network. Easy access via I-69 allows easy transport of goods to Lake Michigan’s ports, allowing for access to the Atlantic Ocean and beyond.
Rail
The Southwest Indiana Megasite, located in Pike County, has two rail providers on-site. Norfolk Southern (with its 120 car rail spur on site) and Indiana Southern Railroad, connecting to CSX and allowing for rail service to anywhere in the continental United States and Canada.
Air
Shipping hubs for FedEx (Indianapolis) and UPS (Louisville) are within easy reach for air shipment. For personal transportation, the Evansville Regional Airport provides daily flights to many major U.S. cities, and the Indianapolis International Airport has a growing roster of flights abroad – including non-stop to Paris.
